Lately i have been feeling all green hence the birth of this blog post, my love for anything Ankara by now isn’t no news judging from the fact that i have almost every fashion item made in Ankara, the beauty and richness of the fabric gets my ideology of presenting a stylish African man.
It has been one h*ll of ride this past few week hence my disappearance from the blogosphere, like i always like to remind y’all that THESTYLETRAIN is always here to keep the style train moving. On a rather happy Friday i decided to dress up and show up like the African Style Star that i am, but the devil struck; have you seen a grown man driving for over two hours and crying? (story for another day) the moral of the story is that “are we broken? of course yes, “do we break? HELL NO.
If you know me well enough you will know that i am about that Colombian drug lord, vintage vibes, there is something about Pablo Escobar’s style that i really live for, from the over sized vintage shirts, ripped denims, dungarees and glasses whats not to love about Pablo Escobar’s style.
When it was time to jet out for my birthday vacation i reached out to a few designers that were my people sha oooooo lol, Ifi Alexander had this purple tunic with Aso Oke details made me feel like a true African Prince.
Nothing comes to mind other than throwing my Ankara inspired look on, I have had two separate fabrics lying in my closet for some time now. My local tailor looks at me when I say please just use this part as the body and the other part sleeves and wonders this guy and his irregular way of dressing, that led to the birth of this style post by yours truly.
Love at first sight was the case when I sighted this nice vintage shirt worn as over coat, my supplier delivered some vintage pieces for my vintage store VintageMenNG on Friday and this blog post was birthed. By now if you read my blog or follow my social media accounts you will know that any opportunity to wear white I am definitely in.
